When you think of someone suffering from Bulimia, what comes to mind? I think of women married to rich men that feel the need to look perfect, female actresses and perhaps dancers. What I never thought of were children! What is bulimia? It is the uncontrolled episodes of over eating (binging) followed by purging (self induced vomiting) [...] With my son, I did not ask the pediatrician if he has ADHD. She just watched him and his behaviour and said “Let’s try a team sport.” I am so very grateful that I have had the opportunity to be introduced to conditions that I though only affected children. Children have not been through years of [...] The other day while in the grocery store, I witnessed a mom with her daughter and her son with Autism. To the naked eye I could see how the child could appear to an uneducated stranger as simply a misbehaved child. The boy was trying to get away from his mother and when he could not, [...] I have a six year old son who is well, let’s just say really, really active. There are times when he will completely zone out and watch a movie if it’s a really good one.
