Mangosteen Trials For Restless Legs

I received my shipment of Mangosteen juice this past Friday and drank some as fast as I could get the protective wrapper off of the cap. This is not the same as the kind I got last time because I wanted to see if were the Mangosteen juice itself that worked so well or the specific type that I got. Last time, I bought Adam’s 100% Mangosteen juice that was made from the entire fruit, including the rind. This juice from Dynamic Health is almost clear and really smooth. Both actually tasted pretty good however, drastically different in texture. I have heard different reviews about whether it’s the rind or the meat inside that is the most beneficial. I suppose I am about to find out.

I will spend the next month documenting any changes that I notice although I hope that it will work right away. What I hope to get out of this is a more restful sleep and less “jumpy legs”. The fight to relieve my Restless Leg Syndrome is on!

Day 1: Friday November 20th

Obviously since I just drank some of the juice (2TBSP), I don’t expect to feel any big changes tonight but I can hope for relief soon.

Day 2: Saturday November 21st

Nothing yet. Actually, my hands hurt really bad today but I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the juice. My legs started bothering me at around 1pm! Ugh. That’s way too early. I am extremely tired today and that really affects how I feel. Perhaps some exercise with my son outside will help. Anything but sitting still.

Day 3: Sunday November 22nd

Unfortunately, no changes today although it is 4:03pm right now and I still feel pretty good. I am at work today and will not get to take the Requip until at least 10pm, which is 2 hours past normal time. We will see if the juice is helping yet by how my legs respond.

I got to the hotel at around 10:40 and felt good so far. I took out the Requip but forgot to take it all together until around 11PM! Since I felt okay, I went ahead and laid down. Nope! Unfortunately, as you know if you suffer, the creepy feeling started and then out right jerking. I still think that some of it is in my head. The reason that I say that is because one thing that make RLS worse is stress and I lay there thinking about my legs and wondering if they will stay still or not. I try to think of other things to draw my mind away from my legs however it still roams back south.

I walked around for a while, read a magazine stand up while stretching, took a hot shower and finally another Requip for a total of 4mg? I have been taking it for so long that I am not even sure how many MG I am actually taking. Finally around 12:30AM! I was able to fall asleep. That sure does make 6:30AM feel really too early for work. Maybe better luck on day 4.

Day 4: November 23rd

Since I have been working for the last two days, I have not had my juice. This is why I think that Mangosteen in a pill form would be better for someone who travels. I get home on Wednesday and will be able to resume a better trial.

Day 5: November 24th

Don’t even ask. It feels like withdrawals!

Day 6-7

Nothing to report. So sorry.

Day 8: November 27th

Ok, as said, I started drinking the Mangosteen juice when I got home on Wednesday. It is now Friday and I still feel no change. I am really very disappointed. Although I know that this is not an instant gratification type of situation, with the other stuff it really was. I am thinking again that it just may be the actual rind that is the magic cure. While the juice itself is really quite tasty and good for you, it does not pack the true punch that I liked. Oh Adam….

Day 9: November 28th

Nope. Nothing to report and I have been drinking twice the recommended amount hoping to speed up the results that I am looking for. I will have to start looking for some of the rind in a pill form so that it travels well and hopefully has the same quick results as the 100% of the entire fruit ground into a juice like I bought the first time.
