It is 1:44 in the morning and I am sitting on the bathroom sink in my hotel room writing because I cannot seem to lay in bed.
First of all,
I am in here so that I do not bother my family who is sleeping in the other room. But, why am I awake at this hour? I wish that I could say I just had a need to Tweet when in actuality I was jolted awake by surges of energy pulsing through my legs.
Restless Leg Syndrome
Like a big banner running across my headboard, taunting me with the need to rest, I flop around like a fish. Why? Why is this happening? I go from needing to take the meds I was prescribed for the restless legs (that usually work wonders) once a day to twice a day and now three times in less than 24hours. The only connection that I can put together is that my knees also hurt really bad. Mostly the one that was already replaced.
Note to self: Call the doctors office in the morning and get those records faxed over!
I will start by having my new surgeon look over the medical records of this knee replacement and see what he thinks about this painful mess. Hopefully that is the problem and the leg issues will get better once it’s resolved. I need to find out if more people experience this. Do you know anyone that can share some information?
Right now, I can barely stay awake so I am off to try again to get some sleep. Take care and good night!
