I started a 4 day trip. It’s Friday and I am in New York, tomorrow I will be in Kansas City, MO, Sunday, New Orleans and back home on Monday. Oh, the life of a flight attendant. With this occupation comes the never ending question of “What should I eat?”. Since I am trying to eat more food from the Raw Food lifestyle book that I recently picked up I have an even bigger challenge of being on the road.
I was able to put together some food to take but I think the fresh chopped fennel was a bit too much on my stomach. Or was it the raw asparagus I have been eating for the last couple of days? I just found it and love it. Too much of a good thing could be too much in this case. What I did rather enjoy today was grilled portabella mushrooms and a corn salad I made.
1 piece of fresh corn cut off of the cob
1/2 avacado, cut into small pieces
1 Roma tomato, cut into small pieces
Cilantro, 1 TBSP fresh
Mix and Enjoy. Yum!
I also brought another almond covered herbed goat cheese ball with wheat thins (probably not on the raw food diet), some sliced orange pepper and fennel, fresh asparagus, some vegetable Korma and two South Beach diet wraps. Some of this is not in the Raw Food lifestyle however, I am just beginning and it’s not completely practical for me to carry food with everything else I have to bring.
Help.
