Ok, don’t get me wrong. I realize that seeing an aircraft in the middle of the Hudson can be a little/lot scary for some, especially if you are afraid to fly in the first place. When I saw this on the news, the only thing I could think was “Wow, he did a great job landing that thing”! Let me tell you, it could have been a whole lot worse. This pilot had to land an aircraft with no engines. He has a rudder, some experience flying and God. It was a perfect water ditching as we call it and I am so proud of him. Just goes to show that we really do know what we are doing and will get you there as safely as possible even if it’s in the middle of a river!
